Boumerdes

Boumerdes is a wilaya of northern Algeria, between Algiers and Tizi-Ouzou; its capital, Boumerdes, is largely a new city built in the 1980s. Other cities in it include Dellys, Djinet, Zemmouri, and Sidi-Daoud. It was very hard hit by the Algerian earthquake of 2003, whose epicentre was near Zemmouri.
