Britishness test

The Britishness test is a hypothetical list of questions that will be posed to applicants for British citizenship. The concept was recommended in 2003 by Sir Bernard Crick's advisory group on citizenship, and endorsed by the United Kingdom Home Secretary David Blunkett. Applicants will have to demonstrate a certain level of fluency in English, Welsh, or Gaelic.
