Business Continuity Planning (BCP) or disaster recovery (DR) provides a quick and smooth restoration of operations after a disruptive event.
Business Continuity is the ability to continue business functions through a disaster. In information technology terms, BC is synonymous with high availability.
Disaster Recovery is the ability to restart operations after a disaster-related outage.
