The fictional anti-hero of the novel Use of Weapons by Iain M Banks. He is/was/might/will be (a problem suggested by the nonlinear format of the book) a soldier in the pay of the culture, and is extremely skilled at his job. His sisters are Livueta and Darckense. As a child his best friend was Elethiomel, but late rin life they in fact headed oppositely opposed factions in a civil war.
