Chipotle Mexican Grill

Founded by Steve Ells in 1993, Chipotle Mexican Grill is a Colorado-based burrito and taco restaurant that is famous for their chunky guacamole and for being one of the first successful franchises in the newer category of fast-casual dining establishments--with more emphasis on quality and slightly higher prices than traditional fast food, but still a quick meal. The chief investor in Chipotle is the McDonald's Corporation.

The first restaurant started in Colorado, near a local university, and has since expanded throughout the US.

Their menu is fairly simple, with your choice of 4 styles of wrap (hard or soft tacos, burrito-style, bowl etc), 4 "meats" (chicken, pork, beef or vegetarian) and various additional toppings. The pricing is based off of which "meat" one decides upon. In addition 4 types of salsa are available, a mild tomato, two "medium" ones and a hot one.

Latching on to the health food craze that gripped the nation, Chipotle is moving towards all natural ingredients. To date, Chipotle has all natural-free range pork and beef as well as organic dairy products such as cheese and sour cream.
