Coastal states

States that have an Ocean/Gulf of Mexico coastline are shown in blue, and states that have a Great Lake coastline are shown in light blue. (NY could be light blue or blue but is blue anyway.)

Coastal states are states in the United States that have a coastline. This can be an ocean coast, a gulf coast, or a Great Lake coast. There are 21 ocean/gulf of Mexico states, and 8 Great Lake states. (New York is both an ocean state and a Great Lake state.) In all, there are 30 coastal states.
