Coda (linguistics)

The end part of a syllable, following a nucleus. A coda is not required in syllables.

Here are some codas:

an - /n/
tan - /n/
tin - /n/
tint - /nt/

The below syllables end in a nuclues and do not have a coda: <p>fa
