The cornflower or bachelor's button (centaurea cyanus) is a small annual species of aster, usually with bushy blue flowers. It grows natively in cornfields (i.e. wheatfields) in Europe, but now grows also in North America.
The Blue Cornflower has been the national flower of Estonia since 1968 and sybolizes daily bread to Estonians.
The flower is the symbol of the Swedish political party Folkpartiet.
