In the bible, Dan is the name of one of the sons of Jacob (see Dan (biblical figure)), and of the tribe consisting of his descendants (see Tribe of Dan).
In Chinese Opera, a Dan is any female role. Traditionally, all female roles have been played by male actors.
Dan (city) is a city in the ancient Kingdom of Israel.
Dan (stream) is one of the three large streams who form the Jordan River in Israel.
Gush Dan is a name of large metropolitan block in Israel. It strays along the Mediterranean sea coast from Rishon LeZion in the south to Ramat Aviv (north Tel Aviv) in the north.
Dan Bus Cooperative is a bus company in Israel which operates in the Gush Dan area.
