Deinotherium

Deinotherium was a prehistoric proto-elephant that lived until the Pleistocene. Its range covered parts of Asia, Africa, and Europe. It largely resembled modern elephants, except that its trunk was not as long, and it had downward curving tusks attached to the lower jaw.
