Die Hard: With a Vengeance, the third film in the Die Hard series starring Bruce Willis as policeman John McClane, adds Samuel L. Jackson as Zeus Carver, Willis' reluctant partner.
The villain in this movie is Simon Gruber (played by Jeremy Irons), brother of Hans Gruber, a German criminal who was killed by McClane at the climax of Die Hard, the first film in the series. Simon attempts revenge upon McClane while robbing a high security bank vault.
Dick Cheney, the future Vice President of the United States, plays a non-speaking bit part as a New York official. The director pointed him out on the audio commentary.
