Disney's Contemporary Resort
From open-encyclopedia.com - the free encyclopedia.
A state of the art (at the time), A-framed hotel, overlooking Bay Lake and the Disney-made Seven Seas Lagoon. Directly linked to the Magic Kingdom, the Grand Floridian Resort and the Polynesian Resort by monorail, this hotel is made up by premade and prefurnished rooms that were installed by crane and set into place.
The main hall, or Grand Canyon Concourse houses two restaurants: Chef Mickey's and the Concourse Steakhouse. Also adorning the concourse is a large mosaic and the hotel's monorail stop. On the 14th floor, is the California Grill. With an eclectic selection of West Coast cuisine, guests are awed by a grand view of the Disney World property, including the Magic Kingdom, Bay Lake, the Grand Floridian Resort, the Polynesian Resort, the old Discovery Island and the old River Country.
The hotel has 2 pools, a private beach and boat rentals.
