Dorothy Lyman

Dorothy Lyman is an accomplished television actress, director and producer. She is most commonly known for her work on the syndicated television series Mama's Family, as Naomi Harper.

Born on April 18, 1947 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she appeared on her first soap opera A World Apart as Julie Stark in 1971.

Ms. Lyman's most notable soap opera acting to date has been on All My Children as Opal Sue Gardner, for which she received an Emmy as Outstanding Actress in a Supporting Role in a Daytime Drama Series in 1982 and one for Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama Series in 1983.

She is now currently living back in New York City after spending quite some time in California.
