Fairchild is the name of a San Antonio, Texas (USA) -based aircraft manufacturer.
History
The company was founded by Sherman Fairchild in 1925.
During the 1950s and 1960s it built 206 Fokker Friendships as the F-27 and FH227.
In 1996, after the company's take over by Dornier, the company was renamed FairchildDornier.
Today, the company is known is M7 Aerospace.
