Fara is a small island in Orkney, Scotland, lying between Flotta and Hoy. It has been uninhabited since the 1960s.

Fara should not be confused with the island of Faray near Eday.

Fara is also the name of a village in the District of Safad destroyed in the Arab-Israeli war of 1948.
