Greenhithe

From open-encyclopedia.com - the free encyclopedia.

Greenhithe is a village in the Kent borough of Dartford. It is part of the civil parish of Swanscombe and Greenhithe.

Greenhithe, as it is spelled today (and has had other spellings!) is situated at a landing point on the south bank of the River Thames east of Dartford. In 2004 it has become an up-market housing area, but until the latter end of the 20th Century it was part of the cement industry base.
