Gruney

From open-encyclopedia.com - the free encyclopedia.

Gruney is a small, uninhabited island in Shetland, Scotland. It lies north of the Northmavine peninsula of the Shetland Mainland, from which it is separated by the Gruney Sound.

Gruney forms a National Nature Reserve together with the Ramna Stacks on account of its population of seabirds, including Leach's petrels. The island is also home to a lighthouse.
