H. Craig Severance

H. Craig Severance (18791941) was an American architect who designed a number of well-known buildings in New York City.

He was once a partner of William van Alen, but the two separated on unfriendly terms. Severence's best known building, 40 Wall Street, was built in competition with Alen's Chrysler Building.
