HMAS Australia

One ship of the Royal Navy has been named HMS Australia and two ships of the Royal Australian Navy have borne the name HMAS Australia.
- The first, Australia, (a Royal Navy ship styled HMS as the Royal Australian Navy had not yet been formed) was an Orlando class cruiser completed in 1888 and scrapped in 1905.
- The second Australia (now styled HMAS after the formation of the Royal Australian Navy in 1911) was an Indefatigable-class battlecruiser launched in 1911 and sunk in accordance with the terms of the Washington Naval Treaty in 1924.
- the third Australia was a County-class heavy cruiser launched in 1927, and sold for scrap in 1955.
