Herb Carneal (born 1923) has been a play-by-play radio commentator for the Minnesota Twins on WCCO Radio since 1962. His monotone voice has become well-loved by Twins radio listeners.
Since 2002, Carneal has scaled back his work commitment to providing play-by-play for one-half of Twins home games only. Carneal as of 2004 worked in partnership with fellow radio commentators John Gordon, Dan Gladden, and Jack Morris.
Carneal was a recipient of the Ford C. Frick Award for baseball broadcasting in 1996.
