Indira Gandhi National Open University

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) was established in 1985 to provide distance learning to remote and disadvantaged students of any age. It helps in democratization of education in India.

IGNOU offers certificate, diploma, graduate, post-graduate and PhD distance education courses.

It has regional centres all over India, including Indian air-force, army and navy recognized centres. Its courses are also available in 26 countries.

The university is named after two-time Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi.
