Indra Devi

Indra Devi (1899-2002) was an early disciple of Sri Tirumalai Krishnamacharya, who herself became a renowned yoga teacher. She also acted in some Hindi films.

Upon moving to India she disguised her Baltic roots by adopting a stage name that would sound Hindi and spiritual (using "dev", the Hindi root for "god"). es:Indra Devi
