Jane Roe

Jane Roe comes from the American Legal tradition of psuedonyms for anonymous litgants. An unnamed defendant will be named "Doe" and an unnamed plaintiff will be named "Roe" as in the famous abortion rights case, "Roe v. Wade". See also, Richard Roe.
