Mischa Anne Barton (born January 24, 1986) is an British-American actress who has starred on the U.S. television shows The O.C. and Once & Again.
Barton was born in London and has appeared in such films as Notting Hill, The Sixth Sense, and Lost and Delirious.
She is as of 2004 filming Season 2 of The O.C., a fox teen drama. The O.C. is currently playing on FOX at 8pm.
While many of her costars - such as Kelly Rowan, Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody have received lavish praise, some websites - notably Television Without Pity have scorned Barton's character Marissa, and her portrayal of it, with that website criticizing her acting in particular, as well as claiming that she "looks forty".
