Ram-raiding
From open-encyclopedia.com - the free encyclopedia.
Ram-raiding is the act of using a vehicle to break into a building (usually a store) by smashing the windows or door at the building's entrance.
Upon breaking into the building, items such as cash, goods, or drugs are stolen. This act has occurred since at least the early 1990s.
Commerical properties in areas prone to ram-raids often erect strong barriers or obstructions such as bollards to discourage such attacks.
