Wikipedia: Requests for expansion

From open-encyclopedia.com - the free encyclopedia.

Almost every article in Wikipedia could do with some expansion. This page is for listing those stubs, substubs and other articles that have decent information, but that you find embarrassingly short or insufficient for an encyclopedia of the stature to which Wikipedia aspires.

Also see Category:Requests for expansion.

  • Dot-com - Considering about 200 articles link here, both about the dot-com bubble and subsequent burst, this article doesn't do a particularly good job at either, and has no intro to set the context, but just jumps into a bit about the bust. Science fiction on television has a long and detailed history of the genre on British television, which I wrote for the page a couple of months ago, but only a single paragraph on American science-fiction television. When I did the edit adding all the details of British TV sci-fi history, I only left the stub paragraph for the US there as I assumed someone more knowledgeable about US TV sci-fi than myself would come along and add to it. Although there have been a couple of minor details added, it still looks embarrassingly small when compared to the section on UK TV sci-fi, which is rather unbalanced considering the American contribution to the genre. Angmering

Well, I've now done some research and added to this section of the article myself. I think it's okay, not as much context and background as the UK section, but more than enough basic history and information, I hope! Angmering 18:33, 1 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Excellent article - I reckon that it would be good to split off the UK section into its own article and then reserve the main page for general worldwide encyclopedic trends and stuff - Drstuey 15:16, 26 Nov 2004 (UTC)

U.S. two dollar bill, U.S. five dollar bill, U.S. ten dollar bill, U.S. twenty dollar bill, U.S. fifty dollar bill, and U.S. hundred dollar bill Can you expand these articles by putting other milestones in the bills' histories?? You may use http://www.currencygallery.org as a reference tool. In addition, the $20 bill has pictures of both the front and the back, the $100 has a picture of the front, and the $5, $10, and $50 have no pictures at all. Can you please add some pictures in?? Also, if you have any milestones in their histories that date prior to the time of the Federal Reserve, please label them as "pre-Federal Reserve history", making the history currently mentioned designated as "Federal Reserve history". For the $1 bill, just use the Federal Reserve note page. 66.32.99.119 01:39, 3 Apr 2004 (UTC)
