Pierre Ryckmans

Pierre Ryckmans (born 1935, 28 September, in Brussels, Belgium), who also write as Simon Leys, is a writer, sinologist, essayist and literary critic.

Ryckmans wrote a serie of famous books about Chinese Cultural Revolution, translated some Chinese literature as the Analects of Confucius or the treatise on painting by Shi Tao. He writes in French and English.
