Suzdal

Suzdal (Су́здаль) is a town in Vladimir Oblast, Russia, is 26 km from the city of Vladimir, on the river Kamenka.
The town has been known since the year 1024. For centuries it was the capital of several Russian principalities. It is part of The Golden Ring.
The town is an important tourist center, featuring many nice examples of old Russian architecture most of them are churches and monasteries. Walking through the town one might get the feelinh every third builing is a church.
