The Teeth of the Tiger

From open-encyclopedia.com - the free encyclopedia.

The Teeth of the Tiger is the latest techno-thriller novel by Tom Clancy. It is about an intelligence agency, one that is "off the books" and thus freed from the shackles of Congressional oversight and things like the hearings held by the Congressional committees headed by Frank Church and Otis Pike.

It starts with the assassination of a Mossad agent, and Jack Ryan Jr., the son of former President Jack Ryan soon finds himself confronting the world of international terrorism in the post-9/11 world. The Campus, the nickname for Hendley Associates, is a very plausible (and some would say, inevitable) set-up for an "off the books" intelligence agency.
