Tran Van Minh

General Tran Van Minh (Trần Văn Minh) was born on August 19, 1923 in Saigon, Vietnam. He served in the Republic of South Vietnam Air Force.
In 1953, he served on the Chief of Staff until 1955, reassigned as Military Zone Commander until 1957.
In 1957-59, he served as Commandant of the Military Academy, and was reassigned to serve as Inspector General until 1960.
In 1964-1965, he was the Chief of General Staff and Commander in chief, RVNAF and in 1956, Minister of Defense. The last position he held was Ambassador of the Republic of Vietnam to Tunis, Tunisia.
