King Tribhuvan of Nepal (Full name: Tribhuvan Bir Bikram Shah Dev) was King of Nepal 1911-1950 and 1951-1955.

He was born in Kathmandu (Nepal's capital city) on 30 June 1906, the son of King Prithvi Bir Bikram Shah Dev. Tribhuvan succeeded his father on 11 December 1911 as the King of Nepal. Tribhuvan was crowned on 20 February 1913 at the Nasal Chowk, Hanuman Dhoka Palace in Kathmandu. One of his main reigning goals was to eliminate the oligarchy power of the Rana family. He was deposed in favour of his grandson, Nepal's current king Gyanendra on 6 November 1950 and departed for India on the 11th of November. He was soon reinstated as King in 1951. He died a few years later on 13 March 1955 at the Canton Hospital in Zurich and was succeeded by his son, King Mahendra.
