Viking F.K. is a Norwegian football club from the city of Stavanger. The club was founded in 1899 as football was becoming increasingly popular. Viking have won the Norwegian Premier Football League 8 times, last in 1991. Its most recent claim to fame on a continental scale came during the 2002-03 season, when it eliminated English giants Chelsea from the UEFA Cup.
